Inspired by Peter Boxall's Books: You Must Read Before You Die, at the beginning of I decided to create my own list of books to read. What amazed me the most is just by creating this list I gained quite a bit of inspiration and historical insight. That's something I wasn't expecting, but made me even more excited to read some of these books. Well over half of the novel (the section titled, "Backgrounder") recounts how Casey is suddenly struck by polio in high school.
